Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cable is a rugged power cable designed for high-stress, direct-burial, or industrial applications. Its construction, from inner to outer, consists of plain stranded copper conductors, XLPE insulation, PVC bedding, galvanized steel wire armour for protection, and a black PVC outer sheath.

Application

Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) cable is a heavy-duty power cable used for mains electricity supply in harsh environments requiring high mechanical protection. It is commonly used for underground direct burial, outdoor lighting, industrial factories, and construction sites to protect against moisture, rodent damage, and physical impacts.
